Leadership Development EventsSweepstakes LDE's 2019

Leadership Development Events focus on creating situations for members
to demonstrate their abilities in public speaking, decision making, communication and their knowledge of agriculture and the FFA organization. Team and individual events are held in the Fall and are used to reinforce what is taught in agricultural science classrooms.
 
 Career Development Events

Career Development build on what is learned in agricultural classes and encourage members to put their knowledge into practice. These events are held in the Spring and are designed to hlep a member prepare for a career in agriculture by testing and challenging thes tudents technical, leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills as well as their knowledge of the subject matter.
 Speaking Development Events 
Speaking Development Events are designed to develop the ability of all FFA members to express themselves on a given subject. Students are encouraged to develop their communication skills and learn to formulate their remarks for presentation in a variety of situations. Events are held in the Spring.

  • Why should I raise an animal for the Tomball ISD Project show?

    • Raising an animal is a vital part of a well rounded FFA experience. Raising an animal will take dedication and hard work, but come show time, you will be rewarded not only monetarily but also by developing personal characteristics such as: responsibility, time and money management as well as a great work ethic.
  • Do I have to raise an animal for the Tomball ISD Project Show to be a in FFA? 
    • No - raising an animal is a choice however, it is encouraged. You may simply join FFA to participate in monthly meetings, attend community service events and compete on LDE/CDE teams. 
    • Contact your Ag. Science teacher for more information on these fun and exciting activities!
